Fast, because it does almost nothing
The whole storefront script is 4.6 KB compressed — smaller than most logos. It reads your settings straight out of the page, so there is no waiting on a server before the bar can be drawn.
It never collects your shoppers
No shopper is identified, tracked or stored. The rules about who sees a bar are worked out inside the shopper's own browser, and nothing about them is ever sent to us.
Correct on the themes people use
Cart totals stay right through add-to-cart, quantity changes and cart drawers, on themes that announce those changes and on themes that do not.

Most storefront apps ask a server for their settings while the shopper waits. This one does not have to: your bar is saved inside your own store, so it arrives with the page and draws straight away.

Will it slow my store down?
No. The script is 4.6 KB compressed and makes no request to our servers when a shopper opens a page — your settings travel inside the page itself. It also works on cached pages, which is where many bars go blank.
Do I have to edit my theme code?
No. The bar is a Shopify theme app block. You switch it on from your theme settings, and switching it off removes it completely. Nothing is left behind in your theme files.
Which themes does it work with?
Any theme that supports app blocks, which covers every Online Store 2.0 theme, including Dawn and Horizon. If your theme is older, the app tells you before you spend time setting a bar up.
Can I run more than one bar?
Yes. The free plan holds three bars and Pro holds twenty, all live at once. Different bars can target different countries, devices, customers, pages or dates.
Does it show the right currency?
Yes. Turn on automatic currency and the amounts follow the currency your shopper is browsing in, so a bar set in USD reads correctly for a visitor shopping in EUR.
Does it count discounts?
Your choice. A bar can measure the cart before discounts or after them, so a discount code either helps a shopper reach free shipping or does not.
What happens to my bars if I uninstall?
The bar disappears from your storefront straight away. Your settings are kept for a while, so reinstalling brings your work back rather than starting over.
Do you store customer data?
None. We store your shop's domain, your plan and the bars you build. No shopper names, emails, carts or orders are ever saved.
