An app by Codofaz
Shoppers add more when they can see the finish line.
Codofaz Shipping Bar sits on your storefront and counts down to free shipping. It updates as the cart changes, it looks like your brand, and it loads in about 11 KB.
Free plan with three bars. No theme code, no trial clock, no charge unless you upgrade.
Fast, because it does almost nothing
The storefront script is about 7 KB compressed, and about 11 KB with its styles — smaller than most logos. It reads your settings straight out of the page, so there is no waiting on a server before the bar can be drawn.
It never collects your shoppers
No shopper is identified, tracked or stored. The rules about who sees a bar are worked out inside the shopper's own browser, and nothing about them is ever sent to us.
Correct on the themes people use
Cart totals stay right through add-to-cart, quantity changes and cart drawers, on themes that announce those changes and on themes that do not.
How it works
Your settings ride along with the page
Most storefront apps ask a server for their settings while the shopper waits. This one does not have to: your bar is saved inside your own store, so it arrives with the page and draws straight away.
How Codofaz Shipping Bar does it
Your settings are saved into your store itself, so they arrive inside the page. A shopper's visit never touches our servers, and the bar survives full page caching.
- 0 requests to our servers per page view
- 11 KB script and styles, compressed, served by Shopify's CDN
- Correct on cached pages, where bars usually go blank
Setup
Live in about five minutes
Three steps, no developer, and nothing permanent left in your theme.
- 1
Add the app to your store
Install from the Shopify App Store, then switch the bar on in your theme. Nothing to paste into your theme code.
- 2
Set your free shipping amount
Type the order total that earns free shipping, pick a design, and write the three messages shoppers will read. A live preview shows every change.
- 3
Turn it on
Set the bar to Active and save, and it is on your storefront. Change it whenever you like — a new sale, a holiday, a different threshold.
Designs
Ten designs that already suit a store
Pick one and you are done, or open it up and change the background, the text, the progress colours, the size and the weight. Every design is checked for readable contrast before it ships.

What you can set
Small app, serious controls
Everything below is on the free plan too. Nothing here is held back for a higher tier.
-
One clear goal
Set the order total that earns free shipping. The bar counts down as the cart grows and celebrates the moment a shopper gets there.
-
Ten designs, and full control
Start from a design that already suits your store, then change any colour, the text size and weight, and the progress bar itself.
-
See it before anyone else does
The editor previews your bar as you type, and warns you if a colour pairing would be hard to read.
-
Top, bottom, or anywhere
Show the bar at the top of the page, just below your header, or pinned to the bottom. Or drop it into a specific spot with the theme editor. One bar can use several positions at once.
-
Show it to the right shoppers
New or returning customers, people with a certain tag, or shoppers who have spent over an amount you choose.
-
Country by country
Free shipping rarely applies everywhere. Include the countries you ship free to, and leave out the ones you do not.
-
Desktop, mobile, or both
Show a bar on every device, on desktop only, or on mobile only. Pair two bars to run a different threshold on phones.
-
Runs on a schedule
Give a bar a start and end date for a sale or a holiday. It appears and retires on its own.
-
Timing you control
Fade the bar in after a few seconds, hide it after a while, and bring it back later. Let shoppers close it, and remember that they did.
-
Make the bar a shortcut
Point the whole bar at a collection or a page, so a shopper who is nearly there can add one more thing in a single tap.
-
Your words, your currency
Write all three messages yourself, with bold, italic, links and emoji. Amounts are inserted for you and converted to the currency the shopper is browsing in.
-
Nothing to paste into your theme
The bar arrives as a Shopify app embed. Switch it on in the theme editor, and switch it off just as cleanly if you ever want to.
Targeting
One offer rarely fits every shopper
Free shipping over $50 at home, over $150 abroad, and nothing at all on the pages where it would get in the way. Each bar carries its own rules.
Who sees it
- Everyone
- First-time buyers
- Returning buyers
- Customers with a tag you choose

- Every page
- Only pages whose address matches

When it runs

- Between two dates
- Fading in after a delay on the page
- Hiding again after a set time
- Showing again after a gap you set
Weight
About 11 KB, and not one byte of tracking
A storefront app should be a guest. Ours downloads less than one small product photo, asks nothing of our servers while a shopper browses, and never touches your Core Web Vitals in a way you would notice.
- Codofaz Shipping Bar 11 KB
- One small product photo 90 KB
- A typical web page 2 MB
Sizes after compression, as a browser downloads them; ours counts the script and its styles. Shopify's budget for a storefront script is 10 KB, and ours is 7 KB.
What we know about your shoppers: nothing
Rules like “returning customers only” or “not in Canada” are decided inside the shopper's own browser, using values your theme already has. No name, no email, no cart and no order ever leaves the page for us.
- No cookies. A closed bar is remembered only in the shopper's own browser
- No analytics, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts
- We store your store's details, your plan, and the bars you build
- Uninstall removes the bar from your storefront immediately

Questions
Before you install
Something not covered here? Ask us directly. A person answers.
Will it slow my store down?
No. The script is about 7 KB compressed and makes no request to our servers when a shopper opens a page — your settings travel inside the page itself. It also works on cached pages, which is where many bars go blank.
Do I have to edit my theme code?
No. The bar is a Shopify app embed. You switch it on in the theme editor, and switching it off removes it completely. Nothing is written into your theme files.
Which themes does it work with?
Every Shopify theme. The top, below-header and bottom positions work through the app embed, which vintage themes support too. Placing a bar by hand in the theme editor needs an Online Store 2.0 theme such as Dawn or Horizon; on an older theme the app gives you a short snippet to paste into a Custom HTML block instead.
Can I run more than one bar?
Yes. The free plan holds three bars and Pro holds twenty, and all of them can be live at once. Different bars can target different countries, devices, customers, pages or dates. When several bars match a shopper, each one shows.
Does it show the right currency?
Yes. With “Convert the goal to the buyer's currency” on, the goal is converted at your store's exchange rate, so a bar set in USD reads correctly for a visitor shopping in EUR. Turn it off to set a goal in one specific currency instead.
Does it count discounts?
Your choice. A bar can measure the cart total after discounts or before them, so a discount code either helps a shopper reach free shipping or does not. Neither figure includes shipping.
What happens to my bars if I uninstall?
The bar disappears from your storefront straight away. Your bars are kept for 48 hours, so reinstalling brings your work back. After that Shopify asks us to erase the store's data, and we delete everything.
Do you store customer data?
None about your shoppers. We store your store's details from Shopify (such as its domain, name, contact email, currency and timezone), your plan, and the bars you build. No shopper names, emails, carts or orders are ever saved.
Give every cart something to reach for
Install Codofaz Shipping Bar, set your amount, and publish. The free plan does not expire, and nothing is charged unless you move to Pro.
